Locating Unmarked Grave Sites

The daily tasks of the Underground Detective technicians mostly involve using ground penetrating radar (GPR) to locate underground utilities, UST’s, and other objects in the underground. But occasionally, a little variety is added to our days when we are asked to use GPR to locate unmarked graves in a cemetery. At this particular site in Jackson, KY

, the technician found approximately ten unmarked grave sites and several others where the head stones had been moved from their original location due to vandalism. Our technician even had a great crowd of onlookers to witness his performance! This is just another example of the power ground penetrating radar has to offer.
